This story begins five and a half years ago, in December 2011. I graduated college, quit my job at an accounting firm, decided I wanted to go to vet school, applied for a job at the Louisiana SPCA, and started that job all in the span of two weeks.
Five years, six rescue pets, and countless night classes later, my hard work has finally paid off. I'll be starting at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in August.
There's just one small problem...I don't have a place to live in Baton Rouge. Turns out it's nearly impossible to find a safe and affordable place to rent with six pets. Most apartment complexes have a 2 pet limit, and even private landlords have proven to be difficult. After weighing all my options and exploring every feasible avenue, I've decided to buy a place. That's where all you wonderful people come in.
School starts in a little under two months, and while I have been doing everything I can to earn extra money, I'm still short of my goal. Down payments, inspections, closing costs, etc add up quickly and I am quite literally running out of time. I am so thankful for all the support I've received over the years and hope that you will consider helping me get over this final hurdle.
