Long Road to Full Recovery.

Hello. My name is Amy and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my brother and his girlfriend, Tonya Reeves. Tonya was in a horrible car accident on March 27 in O'Brien Florida. Her injuries are extensive and include the following, along with, many more that are not on the priority list at the moment.

Ruptured bowels

Part of colon had to be removed

Fractured spine in 2 places

fractured jaw on the left side

chin was ripped open under her bottom lip

fractured right ankle

right heel bone split down the center

right foot broken

shattered all her teeth

She has had 3 surgeries so far. She was rushed in immediately to surgery to work on the ruptured bowels. It has been partially repaired. The next morning she went in for a second bowel surgery and reattached her intestines. They found torn muscles in her stomach that caused a serious lifelong hernia that will require treatment from a specialist down the road. She underwent her third surgery on March 29th to try to reconstruct her right heel. The doctor has told us that her right foot will never be the same again and will cause her pain forever.

Tonya Reeves is a hard worker at a nursing home, where it is her job to manage every meal and every food item in the establishment. She is in charge of ordering, meal planning, making sure that state nutrition guidelines are met and making sure that she follows every patient's diet restrictions. This job takes extreme time management, and extreme focus and Tonya did it well! She is loved by the other staff members, the owners and the residents of the nursing home. She is a single mom of a daughter and will need some help to make it through this time. If you can financially help, please do.
