Help Lilly Walk Again

As you already probably know, I have a little dog named Lilly. I got her when I was 18 and we’ve been best friends ever since. She’s been through it all with me, and been my little buddy every step of the way.

Within the last few months, she’s started to develop back problems. She would be in so much pain and have trouble walking for too long. We found out that her lumbar spine is severely compressed. We’ve been going to the vet often trying to sort out how to handle this new diagnosis and keep her comfortable. It’s been tough to see her like this. She tries to be the normal dog she is but just can’t because of the pain.

Yesterday, things went downhill fast. We were going to take her out and she couldn’t walk. Her little back legs keep giving out. She couldn’t support herself. Immediately we took her to the emergency vet. Unfortunately, at this point, she has lost almost all motor function of her back body. They’ve kept her overnight to get neurology to assess her this morning. She’s most likely going to need major surgery to try and get some function back. This is going to be an extremely long and painful journey for her and we’re super gutted that this is happening.

I know times are tough for everyone right now, but we’re determined to get the money for the surgery. It’s going to be anywhere from 8,000 - 10,000. I need to see my little buddy walk again. I need to get her every bit of help I can possibly get. I’m asking for any help you can offer. Dogs are such a joy in our lives, we will do anything to help them. Consider helping Lilly.
