Help support Tina Manifee

My mom, Tina Manifee had been experiencing what we thought was flu/sinus like symptoms for nearly a month. Things rapidly got worse and she was transported by ambulance from Bagdad to Wickenburg the early hours of October 9th. She was experiencing severely low blood pressure, fatigue, weakness, and fever.

Wickenburg tried everything in their power to figure out what was wrong with my mom, but all they were able to tell us was that "she's really, really sick". They tried to no avail to raise her blood pressure, but unfortunately was unsuccessful.

At this point, we knew she had an infection somewhere and was also experiencing cardiac issues. Wickenburg then arranged transport to Banner on Thunderbird. They airlifted my sweet momma and we all told her to fight hard.

Shortly after arriving to Thunderbird, the doctor informed us of what we already knew: she's very sick with an unknown infection. He then told us she would be on life support by that night. My mom has had a known heart murmur that is now in desperate need of repair.

They discovered that she has an infection somewhere in her stomach and heart. The doctors performed a surgery to try and expand her aorta and if she was a good candidate, they would repair the infected valve. The doctors informed us that it was high risk and she may not make it but my mom wanted to fight. She wants to live.

She pulled through the surgery just fine. Blood pressure was still low, but unfortunately they weren't able to repair the valve. So, they inserted a tube that will essentially help her blood pressure directly from the heart.

She was then rushed to a second surgery. They discovered that all signs were pointing to the gallbladder being the culprit for the infection. They performed a surgery to insert a tube to essentially drain the gallbladder overtime and hope that it helps.

After this surgery, they had intubated my mom and decided that she would be better equipped at yet another, bigger, hospital. So they prepped her for her second airlift transport to Banner University where she is currently at.

I'm making this fund to help my family with all the upcoming medical expenses and assist in financial needs of travel expenses from Bagdad to Phoenix. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. In fact, we'd be happy with just thoughts and prayers for my sweet momma.

10/10/24 update:

My mom is still very sick and weak. Blood pressure is still low. They have her on echo to pull all her blood and oxygenate it. We're not out of the woods yet, but my mom is a true fighter and I have faith in her, our Lord, and family who have passed before us to help her pull through this and come home to us.
