Baby Coming! Can I Stay??!!

Donation protected

Dear Friends,

I need your support.

Last year, while studying at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, I met Eva, the love of my life. We rejoiced, having found each other.

Needless to say, when her Visa was up and she had to return to Germany, I was in a dilemma.

“Should I stay or should I go?”

Two days later, the decision became much easier for me.

We found out she was pregnant.

Without hesitation, fueled by love and commitment, I soon followed.

I left every familiar person, thing, language, culture…and work opportunities……behind.

Eva and I are between the ultimate rock and a hard place. I can’t legally work until the baby is born in June, meaning Eva is the only person bringing in money.

We gathered all the information and sorted out the opportunities. I can’t apply for a Freelance Visa unless I have letters of intent to hire from prospective employers. THEN, there would be a long waiting process because of German bureaucracy.

After having talked to people who have been in the same situation, we figured out that this process would take too long.

By that time, I will have to leave Germany, potentially missing the birth of my child.

We have talked about all options, including me going back to America.

It would break my heart to leave my partner on her own right now. The only thing I can provide her is my emotional support.

If anyone has had a pregnant partner, they probably know emotional support is VERY much needed.

She needs me HERE. She wants me on this path with her, not away from it. I want to be on this path. More than anything………I want to be here for the birth of my child.

There is one way that can guarantee my Visa until the baby is born. I can apply for a Language Learning Visa. It is an expensive option. It is the ONLY option.

What makes it even more expensive is that I won’t be allowed to work with this Visa until the baby comes. What I CAN do is start learning German.

And be with Eva.

We are pregnant with anxiety, short on joy, and short on cash right now. This is why I want to ask you for your help/support.

We need to pay for the language class.

Also…..

We want to be able to buy the things we need for our baby.

We want to be able to buy groceries without worrying.

I don’t want my partner to be in a constant state of anxiety, worrying about having to support us.

We don’t want to be stuck living day to day.

Being an expectant mother is a life changing experience AND I want her to enjoy this pregnancy.

Friends, I am asking for your help. Please donate whatever you can. Every little bit will go a very long way.

Please share our story with YOUR friends.

I love Eva.

I love you all.

Viele Dank!!
