Kurzfilme und Festivals 2021 - 22

Diese Kampagne soll es ermöglichen, Ebba's kürzlich entstandenen Kurzfilme zu zeigen und die Verleih-Infrastruktur dafür zu erhalten bzw. zu verbessern.
Profitieren tun alle Beteiligten und die die Filme zeigen: Filmfestivals, Kunstfestivals, online-Ausstellungen, Video-Editionen und deren Zuschauer:innen.
Hoffentlich profitieren auch die Mitwirkenden, insbesondere mehrere improvisierende Musiker, Künstler:innen und eine Fotografin, ohne die diese Filme nicht zustande gekommen wären.

Since the last update, thankfully direct funds came from the Oxford Improvisers for their own video distributions to film festivals 2021/22. SOLOS FOR ENCAUSTICS (5:30 min.) was submitted to 65 festivals, TIME FOR VIDEO (10:30 min.) could be submitted to 36.
An NRW artist grant to Paul Hubweber made new videos with his music possible, and from a Berlin film/video work grant I received, all films could benefit, were selected to film festivals, some new videos were created, some new ones started.
From September 2021 the chase is on again.
In particular, I would like to make 1 longer short film from the POETRY VIDEOS WEEKLY series which we'll start streaming every SUNDAY from September 2021 until December.
These video minutes are in German, but Engl. translation will be near the screen.
These need to be edited together in perfect order and will want to see a film festival too, which means Engl. subtitles.
The fundraiser will focus on this project until it's off the ground. So much went already into it by Paul Hubweber first, then I jumped on the bandwagon, now we have to drive it to where it can be.
Every supporter will be mentioned in the credits (unless they wish to stay anonymous). Each will receive permanent access to the Poetry Video Weekly series, and the new one which will have the German title ABSCHIED NEHMEN WIR SCHON IMMER, the translation perhaps "We always take leave".

Thanks to latest contributions SOLOS FOR ENCAUSTICS the video with women from the Oxford Improvisers could be entered into
about 30 international shortfilm festivals with interest in experimental music / video. More opportunities to apply will open up.
The same is true for the other new music and poetry videos - they all need constant funds like fuel to get out there.
Good News: A screening was booked by an art space in Duisburg, Germany for December - January 2022.
Until then, let's see what else is happening... as it looks I'll be ready for vaccinated travelling starting May 15th!

Nun beginnt das Sammeln für eine DVD Produktion mit überwiegend Musikvideos und Poesiekurzfilmen.
Ich möchte gerne vorab sammeln und im Oktober2020 allen Spendern ab 27 € die neue DVD-R zuschicken (inkl. Porto in Germany + 6 € EU + 14 € world) bzw. 5 für 100 €.

Das erste Kampagnen-Geld wird für einen dringend notwendig gewordenen upgrade zu einem Pro Account auf Vimeo eingesetzt, der monatlich kostet, aber auch mehr Video-Verwaltungsmöglichkeiten enthält und vor allem mehr Storage - es passt jetzt nicht mehr alles - die ersten 5 Monate sind bis zum 22.3. zusammengekommen - danke!
Einige gute Filmfestivals mit Einreichgebühren könnten wieder angesteuert werden und im Falle einer Filmauswahl ggf. auch besucht, der jeweilige Film gut vertreten werden.
Dazu wären Drucksachen in kleinen Mengen vorzuhalten und eine DCP file anzufertigen, die manche Kinos für die Projektion benötigen - um nur einige Kostenbeispiele zu nennen.
Eine Wertschätzung der Community würde der Filmemacherin, die auch den Vertrieb ernst nimmt, die weitere Arbeit ermöglichen, bevor die Einreichzeit von 2 Jahren bei den ersten Videos abläuft - und es sind viele neue Kurzfilme hinzugekommen...

This campaign should make it possible to show Ebba's recently made short films and to maintain and improve the distribution infrastructure for them.
Beneficiaries are those who show short films, mostly free of charge: film festivals, art festivals, online exhibitions, video editions and their viewers.
Hopefully the participants will also benefit, especially several improvising musicians, poets and a photographer, without whom these films would not have been possible.
The campaign money will be used for an urgently needed upgrade to a pro account on Vimeo, which costs monthly, but also contains more video management options and, above all, more storage space - not all films are on their yet...
Some good film festivals charging submission fees could be submitted to and in case of a film selection, the respective film could be well represented by the filmmaker or colleagues.
For this purpose, small quantities of printed matter would have to be kept available and a DCP file would have to be prepared, which some cinemas need for projection - to name just a few cost examples.
Appreciation from the community would enable the filmmaker, who also takes distribution seriously, to continue working, before the submission period of 2 years for the first films is reached - several new short films have been added ...

Now preparation and pre-ordering for a DVD-R with mainly new music videos and poetry films by Ebba begins. Every funding of 30.- € incl. Germany postage / EU + 6,- €/ USA +14.- € will receive a signed and numbered new DVD in October 2021, when it's planned to be ready.
Best videos produced in 2021 and 2020 will be included.
