AANT Whistleblower Appreciation

Donación protegida
Hi! I'm Jess, a 36 year old Mama of 2 who lives in beautiful rural WI. And I'm a whistleblower. It's not an easy thing to do, but it's the right thing to do. I've been called a "cyber bully" for revealing fraud which has taken me 3 years to prove. The Ava Anderson Non Toxic company (AANT) is playing victim & taking absolutely no responsibility for the actions of their company over the course of the years. They boast $50,000,000 in sales last year alone. Yet I had to take it upon myself to spend $1300 out of pocket to fund tests so I could finally put to rest the claims I was making, which were otherwise unsubstantiated speculation without the lab results to show them.  For those unfamiliar, here's the story I broke just a few days ago: http://ecofriendlymamausa.com/2016/01/23/third-party-soap-analysis-determines-ava-anderson-dish-soap-a-complete-fraud/

You can read MY story, which is hot off the press here, and I hope you'll share it far & wide so those who feel Ava is a victim can have both sides & come to their own conclusion. I have never had any correspondence with Ava Anderson, the person, and have never mentioned her in a personal way in a single word I've ever written. This was: all about the ingredients, although they've completely skewed that in the media thus far.  http://www.swnews4u.com/section/125/article/30214/

$1300 is the cost of buying the products, testing the dish soap, as well as 4 other tests which are currently in progress to see if more products contained synthetic fragrance as well (the company admitted, oops, their scent & men's line accidently had synthetic fragrance, the 4 products I'm testing are additional products). This has been in motion since Sep, and there were many bumps along the way. The lab that initially agreed to do the synthetic fragrance tests got too busy, so I had to go start from scratch again, after already sending the products & waiting for a couple months patiently. So in early Dec a new batch of products was ordered & sent to Canada and they are currently in progress.  So much has happened over the last few days: the company is re-branding. Suddenly all products have brand new ingredient labels. So do these tests matter, it's old product? YES, there are many Mom's who would like to know if the diaper cream they've been using on their babe's most sensitive parts included very dangerous, toxic, phthalates. So yes, I told them to continue with the tests instead of saying, it no longer matters what people have been using for the last several years. IT DOES MATTER.

Any money raised above & beyond the goal will be compensation for the countless hours I've spent on this. I have a young family. My Son is 5 next month, my daughter 2.5. Time is worth so much more to money than me, and there's no doubt I've spent a LOT of time on this which I will never get back to spend with my littles. Why? It mattered to me that much. Knowing, just KNOWING that a huge, multi-million dollar company whose motto is: It's all about the ingredients, had labels that didn't add up bothered me to no end. My only regret is it took this long to get the proof of what I was alleging. But it's done now.  I recently shared a quote on MLK day that could not hit closer to my heart: "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." This mattered to me, the truth matters to me.

I've been overwhelmed with a flood of positive support, congratulations, and heartfelt thanks since breaking this story, as well as some not so nice ones, but they're easy to shrug off as I know I did the right thing. So many of those involved with this company had a gut feeling something wasn't right, but they ignored it & now feel guilty. They shouldn't, they were grossly misled. So many have said, YES, I too knew the ingredients didn't add up, but thought there was no way a company could get away with that. The old adage "if it's too good to be true, it is" comes into play. Remember that :)

It will mean the world to me if those who support the hard work I've done on this can show me some love with a small (or large) donation of any amount (I feel like NPR).  And if you can share my story I would be eternally grateful. Help spread the word that little people do have a voice against mega-companies. Help spread the word that whistleblowing does NOT equal cyber bullying, it equals the truth seeing the light of day.

I thank you for taking the time to read this ♥ It means a lot to me.
