All of us that know Courtney and Kory know that they are two ridiculously amazing, kind, and hardworking human beings. They have worked so hard for so long to start their family and have encountered almost every hurdle you can imagine, and they're now facing the biggest hurdle yet.
Baby Elliot was born 7 weeks early, gestational age of 33 weeks, he will have a NICU stay for an unforeseen amount of time (NICU staff estimates close to his due date 12/21)
Unfortunately Kory has no paid time off but can take as much unpaid time off as he would like, he really needs time to bond while in the nicu and when they bring him home. Kory doesn’t qualify for state fmla because of his union contract as well as they don’t qualify for any state funding or housing for nicu stay. $5,000 would equal 5-6 weeks off for Kory.
