We have been matched with a birth mother! Baby Dickens is due February 13th, 2018. We do not know the gender and probably won't find out until delivery. We would love for you to join us on this journey by helping us to travel out-of-state to bring baby Dickens home.
We need help with airfare, hotel, car rental, and food:
Airfare = $1,500
Hotel = $3,000
Car = $1,000
Food = $1,500
While we are out-of-state Kristina will be on FMLA leave (without pay) and Steven will also be on unpaid leave (without pay). Kristina will be on "maternity leave" without pay to bond with baby Dickens.
We would greatly appreciate any help you wish to give!

We have been blessed richly by God and are grateful for the friends and family we have to encourage and strengthen us. And while we feel that we have everything that we need, there is one area, however, that has brought great challenge and even many tears - the unfulfilled desire to have children.
Over the last two years we feel that God has been leading us to adopt. Our journey began fifteen months ago when we decided to start looking at adoption seriously. In that time we have had a home study done, acquired a mountain of paperwork, and talked with several agencies.
At last, we have begun the process of matching with birth mothers. This journey so far has cost many emotions, days off work, and phone calls and trips to government agencies. At present, birth mothers are deciding if we are the forever family for their baby.
We hope to adopt one to two to three babies to call our own. The costs are enormous, often going as high as $65,000 by the time a child is placed in our home. Since we are doing an interstate adoption, our journey will require us to travel to another state.
We have been praying, and ask if you would join us on this amazing journey. This gofundme is for adoption fees and what is necessary to bring our child home.
It will be a joy to walk with you through this process. Though the journey is unpredictable, we are grateful to have amazing people standing with us. We will keep you up to date along the way with information.
