Get Jack Back

I know the gossip has been rife so many of you already know that two weeks ago our son Jack got himself into bother and was arrested at Singapore Airport as he waited for his connecting flight home to us.

Jack was on medication, had not slept well for a couple of days and made the mistake of drinking and taking Diazepam in the hope of getting a grip on his anxiety. Anyway he continued to make some bad choices and was arrested.

Jack is bailed until 30th April but it is still not clear how long he will have to wait for his case to go to court. Jacks passport has been confiscated, he has a cheap (by Singapore standards) hotel that we have got him and a pre paid travel card that we’re topping up when we can to cover general living costs. Jack is not eligible for legal aid and a solicitor is so important. He is looking at a prison sentence, a hefty fine and possibly being caned. A solicitor could be the difference between him being imprisoned for months rather than years, however they don’t come cheap! Nothing comes cheap in Singapore, it’s one of the most expensive places in the world!

Jack could not be anymore remorseful . He knows he’s messed up big time and is consumed by guilt and so very embarrassed.

I’m sure most will think ‘he’s made his bed, he can lie in it’ and I don’t blame you for thinking that. However I hope most of you will also empathise with Dave and I as parents, who just want their son home.

What I’m saying is ‘please could you help me? I need my boy back and this is just breaking us … mentally and financially ‘

It’s taken a lot for me to ask for help but as I hope you all know we would help any of you if we could.
