Korey's Mitzvah Project Bike Ride

For my Bar Mitzvah project, I have decided to fundraise for the Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation. This foundation was formed in 2008 by 3 sisters whose dad needed a kidney. This foundation helps people search for a living kidney donor. As many of you may know, kidney disease has impacted my family. Last winter my aunt needed a kidney. My mom was tested to see if she could donate to her and she was a match. In January 2018, my mom was able to donate one of her kidneys to her. Now, I am happy to say that my aunt is living a happy and healthy life.

At 10 am on Saturday, April 27, 2019, I am organizing a Bike ride from Yorktown to Carmel and back. I call it “Let’s Bike a Marathon”. It is a 26-mile ride with lunch provided in Carmel at George's Place. Check out the map and address at the website below.

If you are able to ride with me on April 27, please donate $60 per rider, a portion will go to your lunch at George’s in Carmel, NY and the rest will go to the Flood Sister Kidney Foundation. In addition, please email my dad the names of each rider at [email redacted]  so we can plan accordingly. We will need to know by April 23 if you will be riding, so we can let George’s know how many to expect for lunch.
