Kitten catastrophes

It has been a tough time for our fosterers of late, lets tell their stories.

5 kittens were born into care 4 weeks ago, sadly one passed away after just a week. Fading kitten syndrome, heartbreaking.

Of the other 4, one had a major collapse, which we are still investigating. The little ginger girl, pictured, has splayed lags and drags herself around, this has been diagnosed as Swimmers Syndrome, and is connected to the hips and tendons, and she will need long term intensive physio. We feel she will be homed as an indoor only cat.

Any the most tragic of all, Midnight and Niko - 2 x 18 week old kittens, were taken to the vet for castration, where devastatingly Midnight went into heart failure and passed away at the end of the operation. The PM showed thickened bowel and intestine and other deformities which simply would not have been known about.

All this is taking a heavy toll on the foster carers, as well as on the charity coffers, so we are asking if you can spare just a little to help us at this time?
