Kings for Kids

Kings for Kids and Triple Crown Baseball will continue our holiday tradition to work together and build on our 2013 fundraising efforts. We have identified the area of "food insecurity" as our focus for the 2014 Kings for Kids project. This year we plan to run a food drive collecting enough food to donate to five local food pantries. We will also collect money in order to purchase additional food that will go into Holiday Food Bags and Kids Healthy Snack Bags that are distributed by the local pantries to families in need.

      This year's project will give our players multiple opportunities to experience all aspects of helping families experiencing food insecurity. In addition to our fundraising efforts this year, we will deliver food to the pantries, help stock their shelves and box up individual boxes of food for families. Kings for Kids and Triple Crown Baseball wanted to provide our players an opportunity to be as directly involved as possible.
     
      Food insecurity is a problem that touches many families throughout the world and in our own communities. Kings for Kids and Triple Crown Baseball is very excited to provide our players a ‘hands on’ approach to helping local kids who are so profoundly effected by hunger.
