Kimberley Trail Lovers

For so many of us living in and around Kimberley, our trail network is at the heart of our livelihood. We recognize the benefits that work-play balance has on our health, both physically and mentally, and we have made deliberate choices to live here to facilitate that. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been incredibly blessed to continue to have access to our trails in this little piece of paradise and for many of us, trail use is a part of our routine, now more than ever.

Trail usage is up in 2020, but the trail sponsorship program has been canceled as have many of the annual trail-related fundraisers. This campaign looks to fill the gaps left by annual fundraising programs, namely to:
a) help maintain trails for safety and enjoyment, 
b) fund a shortfall in sponsorship funding related to connecting the Bootleg and Horsebarn Valley trail networks,
c) promote sustainability, through conservation, education, and recreation. 

While there has been beautiful support for our local food bank and food recovery depot, along with local small businesses, I have felt called to lead the charge on fundraising for our local trails, as the role they play in both our physical and mental health is so incredibly important, especially right now. Funds are required to maintain, sustain, and build trails and I'm sure you'd agree that the benefit we receive from them is priceless.

All donations made here will be divided equally between the Kimberley Nature Park and the Kimberley Trails Society in June. Let's show our trails some love Kimberley Trail Lovers!
