My name is Kristene Day and I am raising funds for Lindsay after the untimely passing of her 9-year-old son, Kilian. Lindsay was one of the first moms to reach out to me when I moved to Webster City. She has always been a listening ear when I needed someone to talk to, the mom I trust to watch my kids in a pinch, the one who drops everything for everyone. She is the friend who anyone would be blessed to have in their lives.
I have deleted the medical emergency due to Lindsay’s request as it’s too hard to relive and privacy. She is not quite ready to publicly share the medical details of his passing
Kilian was born prematurely along with other health issues. Kilian defied the odds and survived because of Lindsay stepping in and adopting him. She has fought every day to give him the medical care and services to help Kilian thrive. She has been his mother since the day he was born. She has been his advocate every moment of every day. Truthfully, Kilian and she needed each other—his kindness and love were displayed every day, and her fierce determination to ensure he was medically and emotionally taken care of were evident.
Over the past couple of years, I have witnessed Lindsay go through trials that would break the average person, but she has always come through the other end somehow. My job is to make sure the next few months or longer that she can focus solely on healing and spending time with her 3 children while giving Killian the service and memorial he deserves.
All funds will go to Lindsay, which will help the household financially during this time. There is nothing more I can think of to do for this mother who fought so hard for Killian over these last 9 years. Kilian is loved, and his presence will always be felt—though not in this world physically, Kilian will never be forgotten by Lindsay and his 2 brothers and little sister. He was and will always remain important in their lives and hearts.
I appreciate any and all of you who consider donating, praying, or sharing to get this fundraiser out. I will update as we go.
If you want to help in other ways please reach out to Sarah Ostlund-Anderson at Trinity Lutheran for idea of food items needed for the meal after the service.
