Kids Basketball Academy in Nicaragua

I am reaching out to all of my basketball friends. I was put in touch with Sergio who has played in some of the same leagues. He is from Nicaragua and trying to keep a basketball academy going. In his words.

 

"This academy currently has 32 children aged 7 to 13 years old. All of these kids come from very humble families. I do not want to add drama to the situation but some kids even have been going to practice with flipflops. A local business owner had donated 2 pairs of shoes. I assure you your donations will be used properly and for a great cause. Unfortunately, countries like Nicaragua do not have enough funding to send kids to do sports, as the parents barely put food on their tables. "

 

The money from this campaign will help cover all the costs for equipment and coaching for both 2022 and 2023. Sometimes, we all wonder how we can make a difference . Well , even $10 will positively impact 32 children and hopefully they become as fortunate as us to have basketball truly enrich their lives. Incredible memories, life long friends, and some of you spouses :)
