John R. Davis, Jr. passed away at his home in Morris, Oklahoma on June 8, 2023. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on October 31, 1980, to John and Karen (Hamon) Davis. He grew up in Okmulgee and attended Okmulgee High School. John joined the United States Army and served in Operation Desert Storm in the Iraq War. He served his country for eight years before receiving his honorable discharge. John earned his Associates Degree in ACR and a Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology. After graduating with his ACR degree, John spent several years working in the Physical Plant at OSUIT. He has spent the last five years working for CP Kelco. In his spare time, John liked to make fishing bait. He created his own jigs and then began his own business Timbo Slice Jigs.

John is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bette and Bob Davis and Uncle Buster Hamon.

He is survived by his wife Amber of the home, parents John and Karen Davis, children Kyla, Michael, Brenna and Timber, sister Angie Been and husband Chad and nephew Ayden, cousins, Summer, Will, and Oakley, mother in law Patricia Messer, father in law Billy McDowell, grandparents Bucky and Joyce Hamon, grandmother Edna Messer, uncles Leslie Davis and wife Susie, Sam Davis, Toby Davis and wife Mary, Scot Davis and wife Nonie, brothers in law Patrick McDowell and wife Rendi, Lex Giddings, and Bilazer McDowell, nieces and nephews Sebastian, Riley, Clayton, Daliela and Emma, and last but not least his best friend Allen Bowen.

Viewing and visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 12, 2023, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Barron Longstreth and Reverend Matthew Martin officiating.
