Kens Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Our family started this fundraiser as a way of helping to offset the medical/living expenses that come along with cancer treatment. Ken Watson was diagnosed on Thursday, March 31, 2022 with stage IV metastasized Myeloma high grade with small cell carcinoma, which started on his lung and then spread to his liver and spine.
He has already had many trips to the ER due to severe and crippling pain that the doctors and nurses have been struggling to manage. Doctors found a T12 crack on his spine, but they are not able to do the procedure to alleviate the pain due to the tumors on his spine. His treatment will include chemo 3x a week, once a month along with radiation. Today Tuesday April 5th he will be receiving his first chemo, and Friday he will get his port placed.
Ken is now no longer able to work, and his wife Memie is also out of work due to a disability. Ken and Memie are the most selfless individuals we have ever known. Both of them have always been the ones to help others and will be there for you no matter the day or time. Ken has been in EMS for over 45 years and a paramedic for 30+ years. He worked on the S.K. Pierce Mansion for 4.5 years as the historical curator while also doing the interior restoration on the famous house. He has a love for drawing, playing the guitar, cooking and is the best handyman. He has 3 children named Mike, Jenna and Michelle. And also 4 grandkids who absolutely adore him, Benjamin, Mason, Mia and Mac. If you have ever had the privilege of meeting Ken, you have definitely experienced his hilarious (and sometimes inappropriate) sense of humor lol He is just the most amazing father, husband, son, brother, papa and friend you will ever know.
Please help him and Memie any way that you are able to. If you are not able to contribute monetarily, then the biggest way to help is to SHARE this gofundme page. This is going to be a very tough battle for him and if we can help to rid some of the stress for him, we would really appreciate it. As he goes through his treatment, we will keep this page updated. Thank you so much for all the love and support.
