Kenneth Enlow Medical Fund

On Thursday, July 21, Kenneth was working for a tree service company in Lake Mary. A tree was being cut and ended up falling on him. He was airlifted to Jackson. There they found he had suffered extensive damage to his c4/c5 vertebrae and breaks to his lower back as well. Friday, they put a halo on to move the c4/c5 back into place. Then once that was done, they went in and surgically fused the 2 vertebrae together. The afternoon after his surgery, he ended up needing to be put on a ventilator because his breathing was a little slower than what they would have liked for it to be. They kept him sedated Friday. He was slowly weaned from sedation beginning Saturday, when he did start opening his eyes and even sticking out his tongue. Sunday, he was doing well enough breathing that he was taken off the ventilator. He was talking to his mom and sister. And was told what happened and where he was (not the first time he was told, just the first time he was able to absorb what was going on). However, after a couple of hours, they had to put him back on the ventilator because he just wasn't able to keep his respiration rates where they wanted them. That brings us to today, Monday. He is still on the ventilator, but more aware of what is going on around him and staying awake more. He is actively communicating with his mom and sister as much as he can right now. Mostly just little things, like that he is thirsty. And he isn't exactly pleased that they STILL won't let him have water. They are still waiting to hear from doctors, more on his prognosis. It's been a really long waiting game, and a lot of unknowns. They say he is paralyzed, but until he fully wakes up and they are able to do a full assessment of him, we just aren't sure exactly how paralyzed he is. The doctors can only tell what they *think* so we aren't saying he is for sure paralyzed until we actually know and see it for ourselves. Because we believe in miracles and we know that God is hearing ALL of the prayers that yall have been praying on his behalf. We appreciate every single prayer that everyone has given. He is being read all of his well wishes from Facebook, or those given to his family members to relay.

I am asking, if you feel led to help, for donations to go towards travel expenses for his mom and sister who are driving back and forth daily. And also to help with medical expenses or whatever else may arise and immediately need to be taken care of. I feel they have so much worry on their plate right now, one less worry will be a huge help. If you can't donate, please just share this. And most of all, please continue to pray! A lot of people have asked permission to put him on prayer lists, and YES! PLEASE add him to your church's prayer list! We appreciate all of your words, kindness, and prayers so much! I will keep updating as much as I can!
