Hello, My name is Kendryck Spears and I am 16 years old. I attended the opportunistic school, Brockton High School, and is in the 11th grade. At this school, we have over 4,200 students each year. I have enrolled in various sedulous courses such as IB Latin, IB English, Honors Business & Personal Law, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Ecology, and Honors US History II. I have dedicated my time to my academic and philosophical success. After school, I am a tutor to both grades above and below me. Also, I maintain a job at the Old Navy at the nearest mall. With everything going on, I have been able to balance work and school.
Hundreds of students this year were chosen to be part of the People to People Ambassador Program. I, Kendryck Spears, am one of the students that were given this marvelous opportunity. The program gives students a chance to expand their learning to other countries. There are different trips under this program, but the one I selected was the Mediterranean Traditions trip. The countries that this trip covers are Spain, Italy, and France. I am writing this letter to ask you to help me on my journey to raise 10,000 dollars for the trip.
For the past 5 years, I have been learning the latin language, which originated in Italy. We always talk about specific locations in Italy where emperors were conquered and statues are placed. I saw this as a great opportunity to visit these locations in Italy. Not only that, but the massive amount of history in all 3 countries is amazing and I want to experience it all. The culture is completely different from American culture. I would love to see how other people live their lives and experience their lifestyles as a whole. During my visit to these countries, I get to spend a few nights with a family and go to school with some of the kids in these countries. That is my chance to see and analyze how different their lives are from mine. This trip is inspiring me to research and learn other ways of life.
With my academic grades and honors/IB classes, I hope that you will consider my trip and its importance to me. Again, I am asking you to help me raise 10,000 dollars in my "Kendryck Sees The World" fund. Thank you for your contribution into my future.
