Hello, My name is Aaron. I am currently in a custody battle for my 4-year old daughter Zoie. For legal reasons I am unable to disclose all of the intimate details of the case so I will be brief and not share too much about all of the evidence and legal proceedings so far.  In June of 2020, the courts granted me temporary custody of Zoie because they felt it was in her best interest. I have been representing myself in court thus far. 


Since Zoie has been in my care for the last 4 months, she has been doing extremely well, both physically and mentally.  I am trying to keep her in a stable, drug free environment.  I am homeschooling her in preschool and I have obtained health insurance for her.  She is finally getting caught up on all of her baby shots and getting the medical attention she needs. She is very stable and happy now, although it has been nearly impossible to potty train her. I have her in play therapy now, which is helping her to overcome the unspeakable trauma from her past.


This battle to give Zoie the stability she needs, has been very difficult mentally, and now financially.  I refuse to give up on her and I absolutely cannot let her go back into the same setting she was in before.  I was advised by the courts to seek legal aid.  I have already paid for a consultation with a very reputable lawyer. I’ve learned it would cost approximately $5,000 for a custody case. Since we’re already fairly deep into the case I would like to reach a goal of $3,000 to pay for the lawyer to help me keep my daughter in a safe and loving home, where she is getting the care and attention she so desperately needs.  Please help us keep Zoie safe.  Any donation will help.  Even $5 would make a difference.
