So, by now, you know the story.
What have we been doing over the last couple of weeks?
Applying to every type of shift job available in the area, filing for child support, food stamps, medicaid, and the "work first" program.
Where are we financially?
We will have enough to pay for the first month's rent, but as for any sort of security deposit required for the apartment and to get the electricity turned on, we won't have it.
We also won't have much of anything to put in our apartment. Many, many years ago, we lost nearly everything we owned to an apartment fire. Then over the last 13 years or so, we lost most of what we had due to multiple break ins, in a place we used to live.
Why are we still asking for help?
Reason is still the same. We still need somewhere to live. Monthly bills won't be a problem, it's just getting into a place, finding enough money to pay for the security deposits, and enough money to buy a bed, couple pots, pans, dishes, toilet paper, etc.; basic necessities that most people need when they first move into a place.
What is our deadline?
May 1st.
