Beach Cleaning Fund 2023 From Joss to Foreness
Donation protected
Despite the efforts of the local authority, the scale of the litter problem is too great - even with the assistance of so many local volunteers. As a consequence without community support, tons of plastic enters the sea, due to carelessness by beach visitors.
Some of our budget is to equip volunteers with the best possible litter equipment to facilitate the beach cleaning task. We also employ a paid beach cleaner (on a national living wage) to make up the short-fall and help to ensure our beaches are maintained in as pristine a condition as possible. We estimate a need for a approximately 200 hours of beach cleaning from
June to September to make this reality.
With your support we will improve our beaches for local residents and local marine environment too.
Approximately every £10 donated results in an hour's dedicated beach cleaning.
Thank you for your support!
