Keeping My Teaching Credential

I have been a teacher for more than thirty years. In June of 2015, one of my students cursed me to my face in front of my class. He attempted to leave the school campus, and I restrained him. During the struggle I hurt him; however he did go home from school that day without requiring any medical attention. I was accused of battery, and a year later I pled no-contest to the charges. Now the state of California wants to take away my teaching credential. I need the funds you provide for my legal defense at a hearing in August, 2017. Teaching is really the only way I can provide adequately for my family, so I need to keep my credential. Thank you so much for your consideration and support during this stressful time.
