We are from Community Kids Deception Bay Child Care Centre and we are hoping you might be able to help us keep one of our children in Australia.
We have a little 2 year old boy who was adopted from Papua New Guinea by a lovely couple and brought back to Australia
His adoptive family have been back and forth with immigration attempting to get him a permanent residence visa, while doing this they have been forced to fly back and forth to PNG every 3 months to renew the temporary visa and finalised his adoption to his new family.
This process has put a strain on the family physically, emotionally and financially.
Despite their efforts the government have denied his right to a more permanent visa and the family are facing the little boy’s deportation back to PNG if they don’t get the immigration department to appeal the decision.
If he is deported to PNG he will not have family to support him, his original family were trading him to another village when the couple intervened and offered to adopt him.
The sad reality is he is very much loved and wanted child in his Australian family and our wider community with in the Moreton bay shire.
He is a beautiful, funny, cheeky little boy who just wants to be loved and cared for and we are fighting the decision to deport him.
We are asking for your support to get the immigration department to meet him and see what we see and give this little boy the chance with his family that he deserves.
As a community we have set up a “GO FUND ME ACCOUNT” to assist the family financially to appeal this decision.
