Keep our Carmel Kids Cool!

Dear Carmel Nursery School Community, Family and Friends,
Summer is almost here, and Summer Camp at Carmel has officially begun!
If your kids have ever spent a Summer at Carmel, you know how hot the three upstairs classrooms can get. Open windows and box fans just don't cut it! And it's not just Summer time...the first and last few weeks of the regular school year can be extremely uncomfortable up there, as well.
We are asking families and friends of the Carmel Community for donations to purchase portable air conditioners for the three 3rd floor classrooms. This will allow the Summer camp teachers to host their classes in those rooms (instead of the 1st floor), which are bigger and better suited for larger groups of kids.
The cost of the units is about $400 each. Leslie has a volunteer who can install them for us.
The AC unit that was previously donated will be used in Mrs. Bottinger's classroom, until a larger unit can be purchased.
Summer Camp started today and those upstairs rooms are already very HOT. Please consider making a donation to keep our Carmel kids (and teachers!) cool this summer and for school years to come!
