Keep Luna Purring: She’s Not Done Fighting Yet
Donation protected
Hi friends, Liz here, reaching out to help my dear friend Rayna and her beloved cat, Luna.
A few weeks ago, Rayna came home and immediately knew something was wrong. Luna, her 16-year-old companion, was suddenly lethargic, and her skin had taken on a yellow tone, classic signs of jaundice. Luna was rushed to the vet on Tuesday, June 17th, and ended up hospitalized through Friday, the 20th, for intensive care and testing.
After a biopsy of a swollen lymph node, the results came back with heartbreaking news: Luna has aggressive high-cell lymphoma. She’s now facing a limited timeline, just 6 to 9 months with treatment. Despite the prognosis, Luna still has that fight in her. There’s a spark her doctors haven’t given up on. With the right care, we can give her quality time and keep her as comfortable and loved as possible.
There is an option to see a veterinary oncologist for further treatment, but as you can imagine, it comes with a steep cost. Between the hospital stay, testing, and ongoing medications, Rayna has already paid over $5,500, and there’s still more to come.
Luna has been with Rayna since she was just 15 weeks old. She’s been through every high and low, more than just a pet, she’s truly family. Right now, Rayna is doing everything she can, but she needs our help.
If you’re able to donate, even just a few dollars, or share this fundraiser, it would mean everything. Every bit helps ease the financial burden and ensures Luna’s final months are filled with comfort, dignity, and love.
Let’s help Luna keep fighting—and help Rayna keep holding her paw.
With gratitude,
Liz
