Being a small Delta city with a small tax base, the City of Leland simply does not have the funds to hire part-time workers needed to keep our parks clean, well-kept, and freshly cut.
Citizens have complained about upkeep and mitigating tall grass for the safety of the children and for the aesthetic appeal of our community.
So, we are starting a fundraiser! Let's take this into our own hands. We need your help to keep our parks beautiful. A few private citizens have agreed to sponsor part-time workers, but we still need to raise $12,000.
100% of the funds raised on this GoFundMe will go directly to City Hall to pay for part-time Parks and Recreation workers.
