Keep Gia's Kindness and Spirit Alive: Fund Scholarships

Donation protected
Carmine, Jordana, Tino, and I want to thank everyone for their support. We have been through the unimaginable, and we want to do something in memory of our daughter, Gia. Those who knew Gia, loved Gia. She had a spirit in her that was admirable and unbeatable. But what she was known for was her kindness, her heart of gold. With all the challenges that she overcame on a daily basis, Gia always tried her best to maintain a positive mindset. She worried about everyone and always went out of her way to include others. She was respectful, loving, empathetic, and KIND.

So, we want to keep her spirit alive each year. We want to inspire others to be more like GIA! Her dedication to the Service Club, Student Council, and Cheerleading demonstrated her selfless character. We plan to have a yearly event where we will ask the Service Club, Student Council, and Varsity Cheer to organize a Gia's Kindness Week the week of March 9th for the HS/MS. Jordana will spearhead this and make sure to plan ways for people to be kind, give back, or help others. We will award a scholarship at the end of the week to one student that exhibits everything that Gia was. We will also award a scholarship a year to a high schooler on the Westlake Varsity Cheerleading Team, where Gia dedicated her life to. Cheer was her passion, her love, her drive that kept her fighting.

Gia’s memory will never be forgotten, and her love and kindness will continue to be cherished and passed down for generations. We are beyond words for the incredible amount of money raised for the scholarship we established in her memory. In addition to scholarships, we will use this funds to organize events that spread kindness in ways that Gia would have wanted. We will also create ways to honor her memory within the school, ensuring that her spirit and way of life live on for years to come. We couldn’t have achieved this without the tremendous support from so many incredibly kind and generous people.
Gia was our everything, and she will be missed greatly. We want to make sure that this week turns into more than just a week but has a lasting effect on daily acts of kindness in our schools. We want our Gia to be the inspiration for people to be better humans, treat each other with kindness, empathize with people that are sick or with disabilities, and be more inclusive. BE MORE LIKE GIA.
