My name is Juan. I was born in Colombia, and came to the U.S. after nearly losing my parents to violence.
When I arrived here, like so many immigrants, I came with a dream: to build a better life and to create something that brings people together.
Elements Coffee was that dream. It’s more than a coffee shop — it’s a place where people came to work, study, meet friends, or just feel at home.
Every single day, I poured my heart into every cup, hoping to create something meaningful for this community.
Opening the shop was my dream, but keeping it open has been tough. Rising costs and unexpected challenges made it hard to keep up. I’ve done everything I can, but I can’t keep the doors open without help.
It’s not easy for me to ask for help. This space became my way of serving this community, and it’s hard to let go of that purpose.
I’m deeply grateful that so many of you accepted me and embraced what Elements Coffee was meant to be. This isn’t just a business to me; it represents everything I’ve worked for and my hope of building a life here in the U.S. And I don’t want to let go of the connection we’ve built together.
That’s why I’m asking the community for help — to raise funds so we can pay what’s owed, reopen Elements Coffee, and continue serving this space we’ve built together.
If this shop has ever meant something to you… or if you believe in supporting immigrants, small businesses, and strong communities… I hope you’ll consider helping. Even a small donation or sharing this campaign means the world to me.
We need 30,000 people who believe in spaces that heal.
If 30,000 donate $10, we can keep the café from closing.
Thank you for listening — and thank you for your support. I truly hope to welcome you back to Elements Coffee soon.
