Keep the Dream Alive

In 2009 a little church in Stanley Bridge , Prince Edward Island , was closed due to the financial and low number attending and rather than see it disappear and be lost to the community , it was decided by just a few people to try and save it from disappearing. Well we did save it through a lot of hard work as we needed to retire the church and make it into an active community centre . All the pews and church furniture were sold and a new interior was created that would allow the building to be used for many activities such as a Farmer's Market, a concert venue, history circles, a quilt show and an artisan market. However, we still had to operate without a bathroom or kitchen facilities as a port a potty and containers of water had to be used to accommodate these activities . Now we want to put the Johnny on the Spot out the door and put in a new bathroom and a fully serviced kitchen with a heating system and a roof that would stop the rain from coming in . So we need you help to preserve this beautiful building as an historic site and one that will continue to serve the community for years to come. We have the plans and the energy to make this happen and with your support we want to Keep This Dream Alive , We are the Stanley Bridge Memorial Society . Please visit our website to see all of the neat things that we include in our site as well as a Go Fund Me link where you can also make a donation via Pay Pal , cash or cheque.
