Keep Cabana Alive & The Community Strong

Donation protected
Nicole and Sarah have known the Nicolettis for nearly 20 years. We were heartbroken to hear that they would be closing their doors for good. After sharing the news, the outpouring of support in the community has been tremendous, therefore, we want to fight to keep this business alive and help Cindy and Steve-- who are pillars within their community-- keep their business. Please help us spread the word. We don't want the sun to go down on Cabana! ☀️
Over the years, we have watched them graciously support their community- always giving, always selflessly providing support where needed. "Service Before Self" is truly their motto.

Cabana Tan owners Steve and Cindy Nicoletti on  Wednesday 5-13-2020 announcing they were forced to close their doors after 19 years owning a family business. They were going to humbly walk away after serving our community for nearly 20 years.

Why GoFundMe?

A substantial amount of revenue has been lost and cannot be recovered due to COVID-19, forcing them to close their doors during their busiest season. They make their year's worth of profit during these crucial months. In order to keep their doors open, this is the minimum goal we need to reach to factor in utilities, rent, preservation and care, etc...

Now 24 hours later they have over 65,000 views and hundreds of comments and nearly 500 shares going to other social media pages and being shared like wildfire. Because of this exposure, a major news outlet picked up the story and wants to help spread the word. This family owned business must shut their doors after being a pillar in our community, giving to every cause and every need that was brought to them. They never turned away a need or request in hopes to always help build their community.

Now several business owners, community members, people they know and don't know are asking them to allow the community to come together and start a GoFund Me page for them. This is all about what has occurred to a small family business that did nothing to deserve to lose years of their service to our small community. They are not the type of people that would want to ask for or take help, they are used to giving it and now an entire community stands behind them.

Their loss is great, it's not just the rent they fell behind on when they were forced to close their salon. It is the revenue they make only seasonally in April-June being the height of their season. They lost an enormous amount of income that they rely on  to get them through the slower months each year, to buy new bulbs for their beds each year at this time, to maintain acrylics, make salon repairs and to pay their seasonal employees. This is not about 2 months rent it's about loss of wages, business and how they had absolutely no way out.

We wanted the media to see this story.
