Celebration of a beautiful soul.

Hello everyone.  

My name is Leyla, I've started this so hopefully my mom would be able to have a nice service in the fall.

My mom Joan was a fighter, and fought till the every end. 

In July of 2022 she was admitted to the hospital for respiratory failure and intubated for a week. For that week we had been told she wouldn't make it, that she was too sick and her time was near, after a week she was finally strong enough to come off the vent. From then on she fought to get stronger going to physical rehab and learning to walk again. 

After a month or so she ended up back in the icu with high co2. This happened a few times over and over until one day her heart had stopped, luckily they where able to reccessitate her but had to put a tube in her throat in hopes it would help prevent her co2 from getting high again and for a few months it worked.

In January of 2023 she was able to come home but was only home for a week until developing pneumonia again. She was improving until things took a turn for the worst when after a few weeks we had learned her kidneys where.  

Now due to all the drugs at the hospital they had her on dialysis wasn't an option and she was too sick for a transplant.  

In a matter of 2-3 days she took her final breath. 

She was so loved and such an amazing woman and it deserves to be shown how loved she was. 

This would help us get her a headstone for when we finally lay her to rest next to her dad.
