Care for Hair

Hello to my friends and family, story readers, givers, and people who care. My name is Caren, (don't let the name scare you, my name starts with a "C" and has care in it.) I am a Mom, homeschool teacher, dance teacher, & professional singer. I haven't performed since before Covid, and now in the summer of 2024 I have been diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I am undergoing treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which will follow by surgery and radiation. Now that I've started treatments, I have lost all of my hair. I have been recently asked to perform at a Breast Cancer Gala which I could share my passion through song with many. However, I myself need help in purchasing a "real human hair wig" that could last for up to 10 years. I have searched out a beautiful wig maker on the East Side of Toronto that has outstanding prices. Why I am going with a wig maker is because she makes special chemo wig caps. They fit your head size exactly with room for your real hair to grow back. There is also special grips inside to make sure a sensitive chemo head isn’t hurting and it’s also very breathable so you don’t overheat. With chemo you get loads of “hot flashes” and then there’s summertime. As you can see in the picture I am used to long performing hair and the price of wigs get more expensive the longer hair you buy. With the donations I receive, I then can receive my wig, and go on with daily life: Being a dance teacher to children which bring great joy to my heart, to uplift thousands by performing for the cause/cure & entertainment, and just to feel like a confident beautiful woman again.
