KCHUNG is reaching out to ask for help raising funds so we can continue to broadcast radically accessible community programming following a devastating robbery.

KCHUNG Radio survives solely on member dues and occasional grants, making this robbery a potentially fatal blow to the station. Our members have been deprived of consistent daily use of high quality gear by this incident and listeners have had original radio programming stolen from them. To resume operations as quickly as possible, we are in desperate need of new gear!

KCHUNG is a community radio resource and artist co-operative based in Chinatown, Los Angeles. Since 2011, KCHUNG has pursued a distributed, affinity-based structure that places a premium on openness to participation as a fully volunteer-operated and programmed internet and low power AM station. Currently, KCHUNG is engaged in a year-long residency with the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, broadcasting creative and engaging programs daily out of shipping container turned remote studio.
