The lady in the picture is my mom Iva Arnett. She has been recently diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. It started as a tumor in her stomach that has now spread to her liver. A woman once so vibrant and full of life I could barely keep up with her, now doesn't have the energy to walk around the block. 


Because of the side effects of this type of tumor she is now showing signs of malnutrition and to quote the doctors "There's nothing more we can really do." Not because her cancer is advanced or incurable (one of the doctors said it is easy treatable), but because she doesn't have health insurance.


My mom has suffered for years from what we thought was anxiety. The effects were debilitating and she would at times spend up to an hour on the floor until she regained strength and control of her legs. The episodes became more and more frequent (even with medication), and that is what led to a second opinion and untimately her correct diagnosis. 


That is why I created this page - to help raise money to help my mom get treatment for her cancer. A person that has brought so much light & love to others deserves a chance to live her life to the fullest. She has been a rock for my family and many other loved ones so it is hard to see her suffer, but even through it all she stays praying for and encouraging others.
