Help Bea Fight Breast Cancer

Hello Family and Friends,

I am starting this fundraiser for my dear sister-in-law, Beatrina Utupo. This week, she was given the devastating news that she has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Thankfully, her cancer was discovered early. The staging is unknown but the doctor has confirmed that her cancer is aggressive. She will need to undergo surgery within the coming weeks and her doctor has recommended a modified radical mastectomy with reconstructive surgery. Following the surgery, they will then find out if chemotherapy and radiation is needed and will also be able to confirm the stage.

This will be a great ordeal as they are currently living overseas in the Philippines and will need to pay out-of-pocket for Bea’s surgery and treatment. I am hoping that we can help to alleviate some of their stress and the financial hardship I know this will be for them so that they can focus on fighting cancer together as a family.

If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Bea or just being around her, you would know what a beautiful human being she is. To know her is to love her. I have no idea how she deals with my brother sometimes but she’s an amazing wife. She’s an even more amazing mother to my two nieces, Aria (6) and Alana (5). Bea is also a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She is someone you can always look to for comfort and love. She and my brother moved to the Philippines in 2017 to finish school and just recently graduated. They had plans to return home and prepare for their future as registered nurses but that has all been placed on hold for now.
