Kayden Broome's Disney Wish

Kayden Broome is an 11 year old terminally ill cancer patient from Hickory, NC. Kayden was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer that initially attacks the spinal cord and the brain about 18 months ago.
After an extensive effort to treat this form of cancer with both surgery and chemotherapy, Kayden got to "ring the bell" at Wake Forest to signify he had successfully completed his chemo. It appeared that his cancer was under control and that he would be able to return to a normal lifestyle. However, Kayden's world turned upside down back in June 2020 when it was discovered that the cancer was back and was rapidly spreading throughout his body. He had developed tumors on his spine and at least 3 on his brain. The doctors told the family that there was nothing more that medicine could do for Kayden and that he was now in God's hands. They gave him less than a year to survive and called in hospice care to make him as comfortable as possible for the time he has left.
Kayden's ultimate dream is to visit Disney World in Florida while he still has the ability to do so. Kayden was promises a trip from other charity organizations but due to Covid-19, logistics and liability ultimately were reasons to cancel the trip to Disney. He has never been to anything like Disney World, and when asked what would be his first choice for something special to do, his answer is always Disney. His situation is deteriorating rapidly. A trip to Disney would certainly give him something to look forward to and would encourage him to continue to fight the good fight.
A Few local charities around the Charlotte area have so graciously teamed up to make Kaydens last wish happen!
On Novemeber 11th Kayden will be traveling to Disney World along side his parrents and sibblings. Air travel has been so graciously taken care of. We are hoping to raise some money to assist in the cost of the park passes as well as spending money for shirts, souvenirs and food.
