Kaya's Volunteer Trip Animal Rescue

Hi friends and family and friends of my mom and dad,

I am raising money so I can participate in a 21-day community service program in Costa Rica this summer.

When I was in Peru in February, I was so sad to see so many stray animals. My family is really into animal rescue (especially dogs) and I know that the rescue programs in the U.S. are much better than the ones in South and Central America.  I hope during my three weeks in the country, I will be able to make a difference.  

While I am in Costa Rica, I will be volunteering with an organization called Global Leadership Adventures.

This program will give me the opportunity to experience
another culture and to work with professionals rescuing and rehabilitating animals in Costa Rica. 

Here are some things I'll be doing during my time away: 

hands-on volunteer work alongside veterinarians and animal experts

- help care for dogs at a rescue center

- experience home visits and rural clinics where we teach about spaying pets, and proper care for domesticated animals. 

- learning about Costa Rica’s animal rescue and wildlife conservation efforts

Anyone who donates $50 or more I will send a 2019 photo calendar with my 12 favorite pictures from the trip (like my mom I love photography.)

And when I close my fundraising, I will send whoever makes the highest donation, a custom framed picture of their choosing from my photo album from the trip (as well as the calendar.)
