Canoeing Against Cancer

We’re a group of friends, aged 15, taking on a huge challenge: Canoeing 90 miles down the river Wye to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

We are starting off at Glasbury, the highest point of the river accessible to the public, and working our way down the river over the course of a week to end at Brockweir Bridge, just before the river becomes tidal. We will be camping at Lockster's Pool, Byecross, Hereford, Hoarwithy, Ross-on-Wye, and finally Monmouth.

Some of us have seen our own family members battle cancer. We've seen and experienced the impact first hand. Whether it's a parent, grandparent, sibling or someone close to us, cancer has changed our lives in ways we’ll never forget.
