Thorton family donation
Hello, my name is Hannah. I am the "adopted" daughter of Jeff and Tammy Thornton. On April 5th, 2016 the house where Tammy and Jeff have lived for about three decades burnt down during an overnight fire. Fortunately Jeff, Tammy, and an exchange student from Brazil they are hosting, JD, were able to get out of the house safely. There were no serious injuries or health concerns. However, they lost everything they had in the house over the course of a few hours.
Jeff and Tammy Thornton are well-known in the town of Karval, Colorado for their generosity, empathy, and interest intercultural interactions with people from around the world. In total, they have hosted over 30 exchange students from numerous contires and continents. And at the local level, Jeff and Tammy have supported the Karval school system, advocated for agriculture, the 4-H organization, and formed close relationships with many people in town.
I have set up this page to bring together those of you who know the Thorton family locally and those who were exchanged students at their home. A good number of people have already made donations to Jeff and Tammy locally and now we want to make this page avaiable to people outside of Karval or Colorado who would like to make a donation to them.
All donations received via this web page will do directly to the Thorntons. And in an attempt to keep this page operating as long as possible, I have set up the "goal price" at US$10,000.
Thank you very much for visiting this page and helping out. God bless you all.
