Katie McIntosh Medical and Living Expenses

At the end of May 2022 Katie started not feeling well and decided it was time to visit the ER on June 1st. She was not prepared for the news that followed. She was admitted and told she had severe heart failure. After numerous tests and procedures it was determined that her heart was very enlarged and working only at 16% on the left side and 10% on the right. She was able to come home on June 14th but has a long road ahead. Her current medications leave her with zero energy and she is not able to do much besides go to her numerous doctors visits. She also will be not working for quite sometime.

Troy and Katie’s business is closed for the time being as he is also home caring for her and their soon to be 6 year old River.

Katie is currently trying a medication program for 3 months. If she is able to maximize the medication amounts in three months they plan to restest and see if her heart function has improved at all. If she is hospitalized again or if function does not improve further action such as a transplant will needed.

Due to no income coming in any donations are appreciated to help the family out. These will be used for any unpaid medical expenses as well as travel expenses and daily living needs. Please help out this sweet family as every little bit is appreciated!
