Kathy's Scooter
Donation protected
I was upset, angry, disappointed and discouraged to learn my good friend Kathy S's e-scooter was stolen. My lifelong friend John Z encouraged me to start this campaign as he was equally affected and thoroughly devastated.
After years of using one used and aging scooter after another, Kathy finally saved enough money to purchase a new unit despite being on a senior's pension. The scooter was stolen outside of the Civic Hospital in Ottawa.
The scooter is a lifeline for Kathy due to the fact she takes care of 2 different infirm gentlemen and she needs the scooter to travel back and forth between cooking and general house duties. She would have to use public transit now which is not only slow but risky due to Covid-19 and she can ill-afford to contract the disease and/or infect anyone she cares for.
Those who are acquainted with Kathy know she is loyal and generous friend despite her lack of resources. We decided we wanted to help and are asking musicians, artists and friends to please feel free to donate to the cause.
The goal is $2500.00 so we can get Kathy back on the road to do her thing!
Thanks!
