Kathy Herbert was the kindest woman with the biggest heart who always had a smile for anyone she came across. If you were lucky to have her call you a friend, she would treat you like family. She never had anything bad to say about anyone and pushed negativity aside to replace it with pure positivity always. If you were having a bad day, she would want to listen to you and then she would always have the most comforting words or best advice to give you without any judgement.

Kathy loved animals, especially her rescued pets. She enjoyed days out to the zoo, theatre productions, weekly trips to the cinema and meals out with friends and family. She lived her life to the fullest and was always seeking her next day trip or adventure. She had numerous jobs and made life-long friendships that she truly cherished along the way. With her last job being a Teaching Assistant at Marriotts school for 19 years, she was an exceptional worker, a loved colleague and friend. Kathy was set to retire next year and was very much looking forward to relaxing and planning her exciting trips and events. Kathy’s legacy at Marriotts, the lives she touched of both staff and students and futures she helped to shape, will never ever be forgotten.

A wife to her beloved Trevor, a mother to her beautiful daughters Kerry and Amy and the best big sister to Claire and Ruth, she loved her family more than anything. Her sudden death has left her family, friends and the community deeply shocked and devastated. We are raising funds to help her dear family not have to worry about funeral expenses at this truly awful time. Kathy was always the first person to donate towards any fundraiser or charity-highlighting just how giving she was. She was forever telling friends ‘I am happy to help’ and she meant it whether it was emotionally, financially or physically. Please help to raise funds for our friend who we will deeply miss. May she have the send off that she deserves when she is laid to rest.
