Help Me Record My First Full-Length Album

Hi friends,

It’s been almost a year since I released my debut single, White Lighter—a song that was made possible thanks to the generous support of people like you. Since then, so much has changed: I played a dream show at the Troubadour in London, graduated from music school with first-class honours, (with a u) moved to New Orleans, and released three more singles (I Shall Be Released, Beartrap, and David and Goliath).

Now, I’m taking the next step in my journey as an artist: I’m recording my first full-length album.

Why This Album Matters

For almost a decade, I’ve been performing, writing, and refining my sound. I’ve had this vision in my head for years—a collection of songs that tells a fuller story than I’ve ever told before. Some of the tracks you might already know from live shows or past releases. Others are brand new. But bringing them together in one body of work feels like the most honest and complete version of myself I’ve ever shared.

This album will be produced in collaboration with Reese Roughly, my long-time creative partner, and made with an incredible team of musicians and engineers. We’ve already finished a couple of songs, but we need your help to complete the rest.

Where Your Donation Goes

We are committed to making this project with care and intention. I want to make sure that you know exactly where your money is going should you choose to donate. Also the currency is pounds because I am going to be paying in pounds.

Here’s a breakdown of typical costs per track that I have negotiated with Reese:

Mixing & Mastering: £150

Sparse Production: £300 (minimal instrumentation & vocals)

Full Band Production: £450 (live drums, bass, guitar, etc.)

Expanded Production: £600 (band core + keys, organs, textures, experimental sounds)

We’re aiming to raise £6,000, which will help us record and produce 12 songs. The songs that have no production costs are songs that I have already paid for out of pocket, songs like Fools Errand and Beartrap cost money cause I wanted to have a re-recorded album-exclusive version with more instrumentation because a lot of these songs are rereleases. The extra 300 pounds will go to funding merch (which is included in most of the reward packages).
