Hello fellow Wildcats and friends,

Our Teammate and friend, Karen (Tierney) Geren Arizona Gymnastics Alumni (1992-1996), was diagnosed with stage III Ovarian Cancer last year. She has been bravely fighting her disease and is currently receiving maintenance therapy. She is in good spirits and committed to living her best life and focusing on positivity, her faith and family. In talking with Karen, she expressed a desire of getting together for a meet at Arizona. She also felt passionately of wanting to bring more awareness to Ovarian cancer in the hopes of helping others even if it’s just one person.

I’ve set up this page to raise money through our network of Gymcat alumni, Arizona athletes and friends with the goal of paying for Karen and her family to make the trip to Tucson for the Pink meet. Additionally would love to help Karen ease the financial burden of ongoing cancer treatments while further enabling her to focus on health and family and eliminate unnecessary stress.

The meet date is February 25th which is live on PAC12 Network against Oregon State. Karen will be the meet honorary captain and the Pink meet theme will be Ovarian Cancer Awareness. Let’s show Karen all the Wildcat love we can!
