In Loving Memory of Karen Raubuck (Firecracker)

Donation protected
Thank you to all who have donated and shared this fundraiser! We will continue to raise our goal until the WVJJ PINK event in May. All proceeds will go directly to the PINK of the Wabash Valley organization.

Karen (Bennett) Raubuck, 66, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed February 26th surrounded by love, with her family. She was born December 26th, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to her beloved parents, Roy Leon Bennett and Shirley Bennett. Karen was an adored wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a proud member of the Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies and often volunteered for their many events. Karen was known in the WVJJ as the owner of her pride and joy, Firecracker- and was frequently found “ducking” other jeeps with her ducks she inscribed “Smile” on. Karen, herself, was best described as a firecracker- fiercely loyal and passionate about those she loved and subjects she cared about. She was an avid gardener, lover of butterflies and hummingbirds, and supporter of all causes related to child welfare and supporting law enforcement and military personnel. Karen was a 1975 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and while she worked many years in sales for Bemis and other companies- she was more recently known to be a loving wife, mother, and Nana to her two granddaughters.

Karen is preceded in death by her treasured father, Roy Leon Bennett, mother and father-in-law Curt and Irene (Emma) Raubuck, and other family members and friends she loved greatly.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Dan Raubuck; children, Danielle Raubuck (Will Dunn), and Zack Raubuck (Caitlin Raubuck); cherished granddaughters, Charlotte Dunn and Chloe Raubuck; mother, Shirley Bennett; brothers and sister, Brett Bennett (Doris), Janeen Rhoades (Larry), Jay Bennett; brother-in-law, David Raubuck; a wonderful group of nieces and nephews and their children; and many friends she treasured greatly.

Per Karen’s wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to P.I.N.K./Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies.

“Whisper I love you to a butterfly and it will fly to heaven and deliver your message.” … “Love you more.”
