We are the Lambda Gamma Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Kappa Sigma was one of the strongest and most loved fraternities on the JSU campus for many years. Unfortunately in the early 2000's, the Lambda Gamma Chapter lost their charter and their house. It was a difficult time for all to see the chapter fold.
In 2008, a group of students with a great deal of grit and spirit came together to bring back the Lambda Gamma Chapter to JSU. Today, the Lamda Gamma Chapter has 40 actives making us the second largest on campus. We also brought home four national awards. Three of those awards were for academic achievements.
After being one of the few Greek organizations off campus, we have recently obtained a house on the university's fraternity row. We are more than ready to put the letters back up and continue to build the legacy of Kappa Sigma .
Obtaining a house on campus has been a great deal of work from actives and alumni. We know that many of our Kappa Sigma brothers and Stardusters would want to have an opportunity to assist us as well.
