My name is Ihsan Hamad. I have a bachelor's degree in anesthesia and resuscitation and a diploma in nursing. My wife, Hadiya Hamad, has a bachelor's degree in midwifery and obstetrics. We live in Gaza, specifically in the northernmost part of Gaza in the city of Beit Hanoun. I have six children: Amal, Nour, Ahmed, Sally, Sama, and Omar.
I used to live in a room in our small family home with my brothers, sisters, mother, and father.
Since graduating, we have been looking for work in this small area. My wife and I visited all the hospitals to volunteer, hoping to find a job. Unfortunately, unemployment in this city was and still is high, and it is not easy to find work. I started my own small grocery store. I worked day and night to provide for my children. I invested everything I had in this project. Unfortunately, with the start of the war on Gaza and our departure from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, where the areas are considered safer, our house was destroyed, along with our source of livelihood, which exceeded $20,000 in losses.
Since the first day of the war of extermination, my wife and I have been volunteering in hospitals and medical centers to treat the wounded and help people with their treatment. I go to volunteer and leave my wife with my children, and when I finish my work, my wife goes to volunteer at the hospital to help people in the war.
If we want to talk about the beginning, all the children of Gaza have been deprived of all aspects of human life: no education, no entertainment, no food, no drink, and no adequate housing for human life.
I have been living in a tent since the first month of this crazy war, a tent that offers no protection from the summer heat or winter cold. I have two children who suffer from chronic illnesses that require special care. My son Ahmed has chronic hyperactivity disorder. With the days of famine we have endured, my child has developed electrical spasms that doctors in Gaza have been unable to control or find an appropriate treatment for due to the blockade and the poor medical situation in the Gaza Strip. The doctors have agreed that he needs to be transferred abroad for immediate treatment and to control the seizures, as his condition does not allow for further delay. Approval has been obtained from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, but the procedures are complicated due to the cost of travel and the closure of the crossing. The situation is not limited to Ahmed. Sama, who was born a few days before the war began, suffered from severe malnutrition, which caused her to fall behind her peers. She is unable to stand and has not spoken to this day due to the malnutrition she experienced during the war of extermination.
These are the medical reports explaining my son Ahmed's condition:
We live in days filled with anxiety and fear for our children. We try to provide them with their most basic rights to treatment and a dignified life, but our financial circumstances and lack of income have left us helpless.
I am launching this campaign and appealing to those with compassionate hearts: your donation, no matter how small, could be the reason for:
Relieving Ahmed's pain
Saving Sama's health
Giving two innocent children a chance at life and hope
Your donation is not just financial assistance, but hope, healing, and life for two children from Gaza.
May God reward you and add your generosity to your good deeds.
