Bristol Link with Beira

Donation protected
The city of Bristol has had a friendship agreement with Beira in Mozambique for over twenty-five years. Formed in 1990, the Bristol link with Beira (BLB) was established to promote lasting peace and development, bring mutual benefits and enhance understanding between the two cities. The main focus of activities has been: education, health, gender, young people, disability and culture.

As volunteers in Beira for BLB, Lewis Blakeman and I had the chance to see and to take part in the work the Link is striving to facilitate and the goals it aims to help achieve. For this reason, we have decided to run the Bristol 10K, to raise money for the charity.

For an organisation of its size, there really is no donation too small for BLB. Even a donation of £1 could go towards purchasing postage stamps in support of our primary school cultural exchange programme! Please help us to support this fantastic cause.

As we know, this year in March, Beira suffered from the devastating consequences of Cyclone Idai. While efforts are currently being made on the ground to help alleviate the situation inhabitants are facing,  much is indicating it will take time to overcome the full-scale of consequences the cyclone has caused on the city and for thousands of its inhabitants.

In response to this call for immediate, as well as long-term solidarity, your help is ever more appreciated.

Thank you :)
